Floriani Heat N Sta Fusible Tearaway Stabiliser

• Ideal for use on light weight woven fabrics: Quilt cottons, linen, shirt-weight denim, batiste etc
• Helps to eliminate shift and stretch within the fabric, a must for larger hoop sizes
• Tears cleanly from around the design.

This tearaway stabiliser has a light fusible coating and was developed for embroidery on light weight cotton, shirt weight denim, linen and other woven fabrics that tend to stretch.  It's also better than a non-fuse tearaway when using a larger hoop size as there is more likelihood of the fabric puckering in larger hoops.

Above: This design has 20,000 stitches and has been stitched onto Lightweight Quilters Cotton with perfect outlines and no puckering. We used 1 piece of Heat N Sta Tearaway and floated 1 Medium Tearaway under the hoop before stitching. Looks fantastic !

By fusing (ironing), the stabiliser is attached to the entire area where the embroidery will be stitched unlike spray adhesives which only "spot" tack and allow shifting of the fabric. A non-fusible version called Floriani Medium Tearaway can be floated on the machine bed below the hoop before stitching if extra stability is required for larger/heavier designs etc.

To use Heat N Sta® Tearaway:

1. Fuse one layer of Heat N Sta® to the back of the fabric to be embroidered. Be sure to use a piece at least one inch larger than the outer parameter of the hoop to insure proper stabilisation. *Important - Use a low to medium temp (260°, silk) setting on your iron. Do not touch the surface of your iron to the Heat N Sta®, press from the fabric side or use a press cloth (muslin or cotton).
2. Wait until it cools so the fuse is "set" then hoop the fabric/garment and stabiliser. Try to achieve "tight as a drum" tension.
3. Embroider your design. *Tip - If the design is denser than 8,000 stitches or if it is a poorly digitized design (too many stitches for designs size), float one layer of Floriani Medium Tearaway between the hoop and the bed of the machine for each additional 10,000 stitches for added support!
4. Finally remove the hoop from the machine and tear away the Heat N Sta® from around the embroidery.
