Keith has been teaching PE-Design Basic workshops for many years. PE-Design NEXT became a lot easier to use than previous versions because the whole program was re-designed to look and feel like other programs such as Microsoft Office with the ribbon along the top and quick easy access to functions.
This was probably the reason for naming it Version NEXT rather than Version 9.0 - it was such a big upgrade from PE-Design Version 8.0. The program has since moved-on to Version 10 with features that enhance the new interface but NEXT is still a brilliant program and our Basic Workshop has been made into video tutorials so that you can learn at your own pace.
You may have seen Keith's Design Database videos on YouTube and these are included here alongside tutorials that focus on the things you need to know and things you would like to know. You'll learn how to stipple around a design, convert photos into embroidery, combine designs, resize designs, isolate and separate parts of a design and more.
Because this tutorial is aimed at the beginner or infrequent user of the program the information is delivered slowly. There's a lot of content (actually more than we can cover in a full day workshop) and you can refer to it whenever you need a reference or move through each section as a workshop at home. Over the years we've found that a day's workshop can be too much information in one go and this is an effective way to get using the program.
"I was very pleased and thought the PE-Design Next workshop videos were very easy to follow. It taught me a lot, I am self taught, and only took up machine embroidery in 2011. I love trying to digitize my own pictures and it started me sewing again, making bags and embroidering them. Thanks again just love the service you give Mrs Susanne M."
This is not a conventional video and won't play in a video machine connected to TV. The videos are in MP4 format which can be watched on any PC and watched at the same time as using the program, stopping, resuming and stepping back/forwards as necessary. You can even transfer the videos to a tablet.
